After a rain-soaked spring edition that didn’t let the weather win, Bazarre Artistique returns! Reimagined, recharged, and ready to light up the winter. On 13 and 14 December, the historic Oosterkerk transforms into a warm, glowing wonderland filled with art, rhythm, and surprises. The Bazarre Artistique isn’t your quiet art market. It’s a carnival of creativity, a feast for the senses, and a meeting place for everyone who loves the unexpected.
Winnaars open call ‘Refresh Amsterdam #3: Imagine the Future’ bekend
Flying has, of course, always been a beautiful image.
At the same time, in this work I used travel and flying as metaphors for our own lives.
In my view, a vision of the future can never be too futuristic, and incorporating the current aesthetics of Amsterdam together with the vintage “bolkop” tram into that vision was a wonderful challenge.
Public transport in Amsterdam is a lovely reflection of its residents and visitors.
By giving all future stops positive qualities, all travelers will be filled with inspiration every day.
By consciously or unconsciously experiencing positivity while traveling, every person, young and old, will metaphorically take flight!
The fact that it was specifically the children’s jury who recognized and chose this message is, for me, an especially great compliment!
As part of this pilot, I’m starting a Comic Drawing Workshop — Honoring heroes and designing heroes.
This workshop is made possible by Levvel, a workshop for youth through Levvel.
Sharing my passion for this ninth art form will be a wonderful adventure.
That Levvel offers the opportunity to carry out this pilot is also a beautiful gesture toward young people — encouraging them to read and draw more.
This powerful art form provides space for both humor and great depth.

Vrijpaleis Art Exhibition
Paleisstraat, Amsterdam:
I had the opportunity to take part in a truly wonderful expo at Het Vrijpaleis. During the event, I met many kind and talented artists, each bringing their own vision and creativity to the space. Together, we created an atmosphere full of inspiration, exchange, and new connections.
What made it even more special was the location itself: an underground yet well-known cultural spot in the heart of Amsterdam. Het Vrijpaleis has a raw, authentic energy that attracts both artists and visitors, and I believe it is a space that, in time, will make history.
Looking back, this expo was not only a chance to show my work but also a moment to be part of a larger creative movement.
Amsterdam Museum # Imagine The Future
in het H’art Museum :
H’art Museum Amsterdam has recently joined the open call at the Amsterdam Museum. In this way, an exhibition about the future has been created. Together with 19 other artists, an idea and artwork of mine is therefore part of this expo. For more details, you can visit the page here.
“If every tram stop name is named after a positive character trait, everyone will see it everywhere and often. This could motivate everyone to be kinder and more mindful: being friendly and sincere costs nothing. If we all strive for this, regardless of our background or religion, we will soon be “flying” in the future.”
